It's been 2 years now since you left us and of course we still miss you so much. We have now accepted that we'll no longer see you bouncing round the village on a mission or chatting excitedly about your next project or book you've just read. I met Nancy when she was in the 3rd grade and I in the 4th. We moved into the same apartment building, 6301 Coldwater Cyn in No Hollywood, CA at about the same time. Our apts were on top of each other…the Kellogg’s were on the bottom floor and we lived atop her family. I have so many wonderful memories of our childhood. We even had matching bathing suits. I can’t express how many times I’ve wanted to ask her a question about some early memories and then realize that she’s gone. She’s no longer here. It breaks my heart. We hadn’t seen each other in many years but we still felt like sisters. I miss her. Even though we didn’t get together often in later years I always knew where she was. I could always look at her photos of her lovely home and see her there. We always had plans to get together…but didn’t. And I’m so sad that we didn’t. I didn’t know she had cancer…she didn’t tell me. I keep asking myself why didn’t she tell me? Nancy, I love you and I miss you so much. It’s hard to imagine this world, my world without you in it. Sue Roha Deshais
